Here the kids are all set to jump in the car and go home from Grammy's house. We are so lucky to have the family support during this difficult time after Dad's accident. Thank you to everyone who came to the memorial. I am heading up again this morning. This time via airplane. I am looking forward to spending some down time with Ben, Charlie and Mom. Honeywell Open House
Last Saturday Honeywell had an open house for all employees and families. Mel and the kids had never seen the inside of my work before or any of the campus so it was cool to be able to show them. I'm not sure what they thought of my office or the lab areas that they did see, but I was happy to show them around. They probably think I'm a bigger geek now than ever!Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Emily vs Popsicle
It is popsicle nite and Emily couldn't be happier. Orange is her favorite. We just found out that the puppies will be 'fixed' next friday and out at the adoption sites that weekend. Its exciting to reclaim the kids playroom even though we know it will be hard for the kids to let them go. Mel just finished painting the play room. One room down and the rest of the house to go!

Chris and Grandpa
puppies, puppies, everywhere
We just finished 're-bunking' the kids beds into one room the weekend before the call. The idea was to use the other room as a play room. However, with this new undertaking, it has turned into the puppy room!
Pictured right is Raven and her pups, Rayanne, Randy, Ralphie, Rafiki, Ramona, Rachel, Racquel, Rayna, Raisin, during one of many feeding times. The whole family is chipping in with the puppies. We have to weight them everyday and bottle feed a couple when they don't seem to be gaining enough weight. Maureen works with FAIR, Foundation for Animals In Risk. The Foundation for Animals in Risk is a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization. More info on FAIR can be found on their website (link above). FAIR is providing all the food, check-ups, spay/neutering, and adoption services for the pups and momma. So far so good. Our other dog Cocoa has been more accommodating than we expected. And we hope that Raven and Cocoa will continue to get along.
