This is our first post in awhile. Christmas has passed us by and we didn't think our lives were crazy enough. So when Maureen called and said that Pima County Animal Control didn't have any room at the inn for this beautiful Black lab and her 9 pups we had to find a way to help out.We just finished 're-bunking' the kids beds into one room the weekend before the call. The idea was to use the other room as a play room. However, with this new undertaking, it has turned into the puppy room!
Pictured right is Raven and her pups, Rayanne, Randy, Ralphie, Rafiki, Ramona, Rachel, Racquel, Rayna, Raisin, during one of many feeding times. The whole family is chipping in with the puppies. We have to weight them everyday and bottle feed a couple when they don't seem to be gaining enough weight. Maureen works with FAIR, Foundation for Animals In Risk. The Foundation for Animals in Risk is a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization. More info on FAIR can be found on their website (link above). FAIR is providing all the food, check-ups, spay/neutering, and adoption services for the pups and momma. So far so good. Our other dog Cocoa has been more accommodating than we expected. And we hope that Raven and Cocoa will continue to get along.

Woa, you guys have a houseful. I bet the kids are loving it, or loved it... maybe it's all over by now.
